Munia wants to spread her wings to fly through her village to the city and across the skies, beyond the distant lands, into her dreams. Dreams that a young lady doctor had sown in her tender mind which Munia has never for a moment lived without, ever since.
The patriarchal diktats of village society combined with Munia’s poverty exclude her from education but Munia’s yearning for knowledge is boundless. She’s an optimist, an eternal fighter who dreams of soaring high.
She draws inspiration from the daily interactions within her little world but… can Munia fly against all odds to create her own destiny?

Soumitra Bagchi (Filmmaker & Creative Director)
A technocrat by qualification, Soumitra entered the realm of making films from his passion for the visual art form. An artist at heart, he considers himself to be an obsessive storyteller.
In the last few years, he has directed several Ad Films on domestic and foreign popular brands. He has also made Corporate Videos and AVs for various companies like ‘L&T’, ‘Mahindra & Mahindra’, ‘Accenture’, ‘HP’, ‘Tanishq’, ‘Novartis’, ‘British Gas’, ‘Quest SEZ’, ‘Eureka Forbes’, ‘Del Seatek’, ‘Nirmal Industries’, etc. His documentaries have been chosen for film festivals.
Soumitra has organized and curated several fine art exhibitions in India and abroad.
Soumitra has also worked in professional theater and has devised several product launches and corporate mega events for major clients.
